What are IPS External and Client Focus Account mappings?

IPS External Account mappings

IPS External Account mappings are the client’s account numbers for IPS datafeeds.  You can view an IPS External Account Mapping in two ways.

 

For a single client

  • In the client record, click on Portfolios > External Accounts. You will be taken to the IPS External Accounts screen which will list all IPS accounts linked to that client.

For multiple clients

  • Go to Admin (cogs) > Integration > System datafeeds > Mappings > IPS External Accounts
  • In the Listing Options field you can choose to view accounts by choosing List Mapped, List Unmapped or List All.

Client Focus Account mappings

Client Focus account mappings link insurance data to client focus. Even if there is not an insurance datafeed, each IPS External Account Mapping has a corresponding Client Focus Account mapping. Most times when the IPS External Account is mapped, the Client Focus Account is mapped automatically. Sometimes you need to map it manually map it.

You can view a Client Focus Account Mapping in two ways.

For a single client

  • In the client record, click on Admin > Account Mappings. You will be taken to the Client Focus Account ID's screen which will list all client focus accounts linked to that client.

For multiple clients

  • Go to Admin (cogs) > Integration > System datafeeds > Mappings > Client Focus Accounts
  • In the Listing Options field you can choose to view accounts by choosing List Mapped, List Unmapped or List All.
